No, Iraq's initial purpose was to bring down terrorist and Saddam, we've got Saddam, and there were no WMDs there(None that weren't hidden after the fact, that's what they don't tell ya) Oil was a little bit of it(I very much doubt it, look at the gas prices) But we've had problems with Iran for a long dang time, probably since the 80s. So, I think it's mostly for 2 reasons, the leader of Iran is a nut job, and the fact that they are building nukes that can blow everybody around them up. THAT'S what it's about. Oil has nothing to do with Iran, Iran was a problem before, that's why we helped Saddam out in the 80s. They were the less of 2 evils at the time.

We did not go to war for the oil. Do you remember when we had hijacked planes land into our world trade center,one in the pentagon,and one in pennsylvania. It killed thousands of innocent americans. I hate the thought of war. but i feel we are fighting to protect our home. It is just like a home security but on a greater level. If you had a threat on your home would you not protect it. And if you are talking about Saddam,he was tried and found guilty by the country on which he ruled. We americans had nothing to do with it other than helping to catch the poor excuse for a man. If anyone was a murdering pig he was. He has killed innocent men,women, and children. Just because they were not like him. So before you bash my country Make sure you know what you are talking about. I am proud to live in this country. Americans are great. we are a meltling pot of different and great people. People from all over the world.

You're an ignorant pig yourself there. You can't judge Americans as a whole based on what our gov't is doing. If you would make an attempt to educate yourself on the facts about American politics in the U.S. you would see numbers in polls that clearly show that the majority of Americans don't agree with the gov't's current foreign policies. Even if a majority of Americans agreed with what the gov't was doing, that wouldn't make all Americans evil.

Hey moron! America didn't go to war with Iraq for oil. Wake up and read a little more you liberal twit. Have you seen the price of gas drop dramatically. No you have not. The Chicago board of trade set the price of oil. 80% of US oil comes from Alaska. There are oil rigs set up along the coast of California and in the gulf. That's not counting all of the land rigs. Not to mention all of our reserves are stocked full. If you stupid people would walk to the convenience store or post office instead of driving your fat rear ends everywhere maybe gas wouldn't cost so much. If middle eastern countries didn't harbor terrorist organizations, maybe we wouldn't have to clean up their countries for them.
