I would almost have to say for colour, harvest gold, everyone's appliance were this colour in the late 70's (the kitchens on That 70's Show are a classic example)
for Candy, Cherry Blossoms by Lowney, they came in a yellow box and were a thick nutty chocolate shell for a cherry cordial chocolate...my mum and dad would buy these for my sisters and I when they went to the store...
This is not official, this are the colours and candies I would think of when I think of 1977...

I don't think it was "official" but Ring Pops were introduced in 1977, and only came in Red and Purple at first.
(Was there even an official candy or color?? Or are we all searching endlessly for an answer that's not out there??)

Official candy: Pop Rocks
Official color: choice of two:
light blue (the color eyeshadow my mom wore at that time)
or avocado green (the color of everyone's shag carpet & kitchen appliances!)
