Should I change my name from Diesel Dub to something else so Phaedrus can go by Diesel Weisel- feel like I stepped on some toes. DW was here first.

Hi Diesel. It's all good. Anashuya pointed out that you asked this question. While it is much appreciated, I'd rather you just going on being you. There is plenty of room for 2 Diesels in the P&S Pub.

Huey Lewis and The News originally wanted the name of their band to be American Express. I would be more concerned about litigation through Phaedrus more than I would be concerned about stepping on his toes.

I actually bought the full-rights outright from the someone who originally held the handle "Smile" here, for the sum of $5,000, as I found it to be better than the franchise offer given to me by the original holder of name.

Even though the word diesel by itself is not a trade-markable issue, but rather a name assigned to a commodity, I would still definitely get an attorneys advice in regards to this matter, immediately.

The Phaedrus that is out right now is not the real one. He changes his name often as of late, the real one. You're okay :)

*Edit: There's the original DW down there, with a green border around his photo ;)

From the little I know of Phaedrus, he is a generous and caring individual, not prone to hissy fits or the like. I'm quite sure he is happy enough with his own individuality not to be offended by your name...
