We could all go around in circles saying it wasn't a good move, that he would have been better off staying in Europe, that he sold out, but if it is going to further the sport of soccer in the U.S., then I'm all for it. This will bring more viewers, spectators, money, and overall awareness to US Soccer. That can't be a bad thing.

He made a pretty good decision. Financially anyways. I am not sure if he had much of a future in Europe. Maybe this will truly work out for him. And if it doesn't, he has 310 million dollars to help lift his spirits.

It will help boost ratings, that's for sure. I think he'll fit in, because how can one of the best not fit in? I would say it's a pretty good bargain for the Galaxy, as well. As far as enormous sports contracts go, I would say $250 for 5 years isn't terrible.
