Me and my husband were having a discussion about his mother and his daughters; and he was telling me how his family acts like they want to live his life. Then he turned to me and said that I do the same thing. I asked him to ellaborate and he wouldn't. What does that mean?

you try to be him, you try to control him. you act like you are him.

but dont take it seriously, sometimes men say that if they are upset or confused and feel they need more freedom.

Obviously, your husband has something he is angry about.
I choose to pick my battles very carefully with my own husband.
If he continues to be cold and resentful over the course of a week or two, it is time for a good heart to heat chat. Don't be accusitory, just say you are concerned and want to help with whatever troubles that are going on.
Somethimes men just have stress build up from work, bills etc... and since they generally don't communicate as well as women- they bottle up their emotions until the anger level is out of hand.

Sounds like you hit a "raw nerve" in that conversation. He thinks everybody knows what's better for him than he does....trying to tend to his "business". You were just being a good, supportive wife, and he took it the wrong way. Obviously he has a lot on his plate right now. Just be there, and listen, but don't offer any advice for a while. He'll apologize later for being like this! He's just "stressed!"

That means he's tired of everyone trying to tell him what to do how how to be. If you have been critizing him a lot ease up and show him more support. Because that's what he is really asking for

That you like to tell/ask him what he is doing at all times. Do you wear the pants in the family?
