Dexcool was specifically made for GM vehicals, switching or mixing other coolants is not a wise decision. Some are organic blends (OAT) and some are just ethylene glycol, either way they shouldnt be mixed, because they can change the temperature of the coolant boiling point causing it to either evaporate or not evaporate at all.

You can put the green coolant in you GM without any real trouble. But your gong to have to flush the system every year after have switch. So 17 bucks for a gallon of coolant every 5 years or 4 bucks a gallon every year plus the cost of the flush. You'll save money sticking with the dexcool in the long run.

I have a GM with the high maintenance North Star motor and I have been told by several people to stick with the dexcool - sucks I know @ $17/gallon!
