I recently bought a new haircare product (CHI Silk Infusion) The product had a leak in the bottle and leaked all over my linolium floor and stained it so I thought I used everything imaginable to try to lift it up and it didn't come off it's like a neon yellow stain a really big spot so I am assuming it is a chemical reaction. I called the company of the product and they said that there isn't any harsh chemicals in the product therefore it should not stain. Well it did I said and the woman told me to try bleach or oxy clean. I did that. Didn't work. In this situation what do I do next? Should I call the company back and try and get them to fix it or is this my fault. Do I call the linolium company??? Should they be liable the floor is only 2 years old. Please Help!

Take pictures of the affected area and seek out a lawyer and show him. Ask him what he recommends, he will probably tell you to contact the company again and tell them they need to fix your floor or they will have lawsuit on their hands. Document everything, phone calls, letters, etc.

I would recommend though if you find your cost to pursue the company for their liability more overpriced than a new floor, just drop it and get an area rug or a new floor.

take pics of the floor stain, and send to shapmpoo company. They should have to pay for replacing the section of floor. But honestly, they will probably refuse, and to really get anything you will probably need a lawyer, which will end up costing more than replacing the tiles yourself. its not fair, but unfortunalty how things usually work.

i think you're the only one liable for this. You can complain to both companies as much as you want, but unless you spend a buch of money and take them to court, you probablly wont get anywhere. Maybe buy a cute area rug?? Sorry that happened.

Those magic eraser's are great. Try one of those. If it works, it's a very cheap remedy. I'v gotten all kinds of stuff of the counter and walls and floors with them. I highly recommend them.
