I'm American and I think that 99% of Americans are idiots. And yeah I probably am part of that 99% but I'm trying to work my way out.

Oh. My. Gods. That was so embarrassing to watch. I knew a lot of people in my country were stupid, but that's...I'm speechless. No wonder the rest of the world finds Americans to be stupid and arrogant.

Then again, I could answer each and every one of those questions and I would be able to point out any country on a map. I'm certain there are other US citizens that can do that, too. Maybe they just weren't out and about that day. Or maybe they were edited out. The point of this was to make ALL Americans look like morons, so it was biased.

Asking people in Texas about whether or not they agree with Bush was also underhanded. Bush is from Texas and most Texans are conservative like Bush; they'd follow him anywhere and for anything. Why didn't they go to Los Angeles and ask the people if they agreed with Bush invading Kyrgyzstan? (I'll tell you why: most people in LA absolutely loathe Bush.)

Lots of Americans are total idiots, it's true. But look who's in control of our schools! Yes! It's the government!!! The only reason I knew any answers to the questions they were asking in this video is because my education was supplemented by my father teaching me at home.

There are many other Americans like me out there who are not idiots and who do care about the rest of the world. Please don't judge us all like that.

Disturbing. Very disturbing. And embarrassing!! (I'm American)
It's like watching the movie 'Idiocracy'. You should check that movie out, if you haven't already.
What bothered me most was how Americans are willing to attack a poor country that has done nothing to them (like Kyrgyztan).
Sick.
And you know what's even more sickening? I have met Americans with college degrees who are like this.

To Avie: I'm sure there was editing out, but trust me, the views expressed in those interviews are pretty much the norm among Americans. I can tell you from first hand experience.

To D.O.: you say Australia doesn't help countries. But look at this link if you like:
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/eco_eco_aid_don_percap-economic-aid-donor-per-capita
Australia gives more per capita than the U.S. does.
Your attitude only reinforces what is seen in this video.

Okay do you seriously think every single person they asked actually got every questions wrong? I'm sure they asked about 100 people an about 20 of them got it wrong, an they edited the video.

How are Americans stupid if AMERICANS were the first human beings to ever land on the moon?

We have the most self made Billionaires and Millionaires then any other country in the world in our country, The United States. And you're calling us stupid?

Also how are Americans or any Country suppose to know what the Australian prime minister looks like? It's not even an important country. Australia barely helps any countries. I rarely see anything on t.v about Australia, but I do see alot about Canada and the U.K and even other countries.

Never australia because it's a crappy unimportant country.

As an American, i say that americans are not stupid at all. Only stray cats and dogs can be stupid: If you are an American like me then you would already know the truth. We are insane and perverted people whose only love is invested in entertainment as a main source of pleasure and prestige.

Secondary education in the USA is not that good as in my country(many people say so) and many american teenagers seem to be pretty stupid but not all of them. Though my 16 year-old brother knows much more than my 18 year-old ex-leads and supervisors. But it doesn't really depend on your country, it's all about education.
By the way people answer my question please!!! it's urgent: "AMERICANS What do you think about family?" I posted it yesterday and nobody answers anymore, I need to know your answer:))))))))

YES, I can attest to that, having lived here for 50+ years!
The culture continues to do harm to us and to create insane, ignorant, and perverted people in large numbers.
I want to feel good about being American but there are so many ongoing destuctive elements in positions of power here!
I do what I can to contribute to a better society.

1. some of the best schools in the world (top 100) are in the US

2. you can't determine the intellectual level of 300 million+ people based on a walk down one city on a sunny day.

3. But yeah, we should probably have geography in our schools or something. How about.... UZBEKISTAN? or United Arab Emirates. or even easier UNITED States of America??? sheesh

yes some Americans are stupid...just like every other country has stupid people...If one was to interview everyday people in most countries they would find the same idiotic responses to questions that educated people might know (if you want proof look at trivia game shows in any country)..Americans like to laugh at ourselves so we don't mind having our idiots on TV..
