I know that it says K7 and K8 for installation purposes, but Tigerdirect told me it should fit an AM2 socket. I'm still skeptical, however, and don't want to waste 55 dollars on a heat sink that won't fit. Just wondering if anyone actually has this set up. Thanks!!!

Ok it should fit is not a guarantee, per Thermaltakes specs it WON'T fit .

Besides since you haven't bought it yet don't waste your money.
The beetle is not a great heatsink for the money.

I would suggest you get this one : Scythe Ninja Plus REV.B Heatpipe Fanless Heatsink AM2 LGA775 S478 S754 S939 W

It's only 44$ usd , and is 10 times better than the beetle.
