I am 34 and was married for 12 years. The love of my life slipped out of my hands. It has been two years since my divorce and I used to think just like that. I would give anything to just get it back, to see him again, to hear how he's doing. In time, it does go away.

I think it's probably true for most people. In reality though, I also believe that things work out the way they were meant to. If you haven't heard the song Unanswered Prayers by Garth Brooks I'd definitely recommend it! Many people believe that by passing something up, they are missing out--when in reality they are actually taking the better path. A past "true love" may or may not have been the right thing for them. It's also a good lesson to the younger generation to try hard for the people or things we truly desire.

There had been occasions that I've said this...but then I've moved on and decided that my life is pretty good now, and if it isn't to work hard to make it better. Live for the now and be true to yourself.
