JUDGING AMY is a drama starring Amy Brenneman as a single mother who has left New York behind to become a Family Court judge in Hartford, Connecticut. Judge Amy Gray is divorced and raising her young daughter, Lauren (Karle Warren.) They live with Amy's very opinionated mother Maxine (Tyne Daly), a social worker who is often at odds with her boss, Sean (Timothy Omundson.) Amy has re-established relationships with her younger brother Vincent (Dan Futterman,) her older brother Peter (Marcus Giamatti,) and his wife Gillian (Jessica Tuck). Assisting Amy in the courtroom are her Court Services officer, Bruce Van Exel (Richard T. Jones,) and her eager court clerk turned lawyer, Donna Kozlowski (Jillian Armenante). JUDGING AMY, based on the real-life story of Brenneman's mother, is about three generations of women living together as they confront the personal and professional dilemmas in their changing, challenging lives.

i like Amy's sense of judgement and as a judge she easily filters to flit and conom sense. i also like her mother rationality but also stubborn behaviour she soes not let her age keep her back.her daughter is so adorable and her wit she asks some questions that u need to laugh at.the show also shows that no one can be a perfect mother.amy can look at bad and perfect mothers but yet she cant be a perfect mother.the show isa every day family show

I actually really like the show. In fact it's on right now. Amy shows very good judgement when it comes to some of her cases but sometimes she gets too involved ( like with Gaberella). I've got a major crush on Bruce. I think he is so handsome and I just love when he smiles, which is actually rare because his character is so serious all of the time. But of all the characters I would have to say that Maxine is my favorite. When it comes to the kids she works with she doesn't fool around and that's the way social workers need to be sometimes. If these parents are major screw ups the child needs to be removed so that the parent can get their act together. Donna cracks me up. She is sooo out there. even though I can't stand Rosie O'donnel, I think one of my favorite Judging Amy episodes is the one where she came in. It was pretty good.

I liked that show and I had a small crush on Judge gray but I as I watched it more I lost the crush and Amy kind of gets on my nerves with her assumptions. I liked her Brother before the actors switched. Her assistant the Black Man I can't remeber his name but he was a good actor. Lets not forget Amy's mom the social worker she was cool but just as shwacky as Amy in her own way.

All in all it's a good show if I'm off work I watch it.

i used to like it, but Tyne Daly is a big old nasty opinionated stink bag, you know a show goes down hill when they add characters like that
