making a website without a .piczo or .myspace just a plain website with www.mywebsite.com . Does anyone know how, i really would like to know ( i know how to write html)

Well to make web sites you need an
1. editor and
2.a way to upload your files
3.and you need web space. "your Internet provider usually gives you one free one at least".
Your web space will be indicative as to what kind of editor you would use, like if it is plane vanilla then just an old fashion html editor will do, if it is front page enabled, or flash enabled then any thing goes.
So find out your web address that you will be publishing your pages to,user name and password would be required, the first page you make name it index.html and link all other pages from it such as page2.html and page3.html and so on.

First you need a domain name, you can buy one from
http://www.123-reg.co.uk/
Then you design your site.
Then you need a web host. You get an account and upload your files to your folder on the hosts server.

Its best not to go for free hosting, you can't control what ads they'll stick on your page.

you purchase a domain name, then a hosting package, www.sdhinternet.co.uk can provide you with email and web space, and there domain names around £6 for 2yrs for co.uk

There is no www.mywebsite.com but bebo is sort of like that but you can meet friends or you can make a page up on anything you want really

If you need a domain on your name,you got to purchase it.Yahoo offers one f the cheapest domains.
