I have a "friend" that will be leaving for Iraq soon. I saw him last weekend, and we had a great time. No sex though. He's leaving for California for additional training, and then on to Iraq. I will be seeing him this weekend again, and it will be the last time before he deploys. Any ideas on how to make the weekend memorable for him?

Well...so in other words are you looking for an affirmative to getting laid?
Sweetheart....want the truth. i cannot imagine anything in this world except Dubya saying "We're done sending troops and we're pulling out" .That would make any man or woman being deployed to Iraq happy.
Hmmm....I did say "pull out" though. Subliminal messages perhaps. You be the judge hun....you be the judge. Good luck and tell your pal to please come home in one piece and alive.

Make the weekend all about him. Whatever he wants to do (except sex, obviously). Give him something to look forward to when he comes home.

When the weekend is over, tell him how much you enjoyed it. Tell him how much you are going to miss him. Tell him you are going to be thinking about him and praying for him every day. Don't tell him you love him, if you don't mean it, but if you do, .....

After he leaves, write a letter (on actual paper) to him at least a couple times a month. This will give him something tangible to remember you. Then plan another weekend for when he gets back.

Oh, and tell him I said, "Thanks".

Send him off with something homemade, a photo, a small card, if you are religious, a prayer typed small enough to fit in a wallet. Let him know you are care about him and will think of him everyday.

While he is gone see if you can publish a "missing you" note in Stars and Stripes. Get his unit info so you can try to mail him once in a while.

Tell him "thank you" from all of us back home.

Godspeed.

Fix him a favorite meal, get his favorite wine/liquor, buy some sexy and flattering lingerie and have fun. Light candles in the bedroom and set a very calming mood for him. Just allow him to do what ever he desires. That's what I did for my husband before he left and he had a very good last night with me before he deployed. Best of luck to your friend. I will pray for his safety.

My b/f is currently there. I sent off with the understanding that I support him mentally and love him very much. And of course with a big smile. He says he can remeber it clearly.
