I keep pretty well abreast of the goings-on regarding the HGP, and I can assure you that this is completely made up. It's nothing but a lie.

Have you ever noticed when you buy an item that has 'some assembly required' you always seem to have one or two parts left over. It cant be that you put it together wrong or that you dont fully understand what those extra parts are supposed to do - that would mean you aren't as smart as you might like to think you are - or that they ever had a purpose. So, they must be from something else and they got put in the box by mistake.

So, The human being must have been packed with some extra 'alien' bits and bobs. After all, we know all about the body now, don't we?

If they've found extra-terretrial genes, then the must know and have found an extra-terrestrial being also to make a comparison. A person with unique qualities does not make him/her extra-terrestrial. Nor does a unique creature makes it extra-terrestrial. To make such a judgement- scientist would first have to be sound that such a gene originated in space...and since there is such controversy of even the possibility of extra-terrestrial physical life, that would mean even more controversial a finding. I say its false until we've been presented with a definite extra-terrestrial life form. Then we can go ahead and make the comparison

The first paragraph of the page says it all: DNA does not have veins, arteries, etc, which the guy claiming that junk DNA is alien DNA is saying. Any reputable scientist, even if they study physics or something else non-biological, knows that the DNA sequence would not contain things like that.

This is a good demonstration of junk scientists looking for junk DNA to support their junk Extraterrestrial DNA theories. Just because their is junk DNA, that is not a reason to suspect extraterrestrial origin. It just demonstrates that the DNA is susceptible to damage and change.

And how do we know what an extraterrestrial gene is to know that we've found one?

A few years ago when they found that meteorite that supposedly contained microscopic fossilized life, a lot of people were instantly clamouring it came from Mars. How could they possibly know where it was from???

The truth: a lot of scientists and science junkies are morons.

I am not impressed with your source. Does not look like it was even subjected to the intimation of peer review. Junk DNA to aliens is quite a leap, regardless of the mutational findings. Argument from incredulity. Try harder, next time.

I'm sorry, I just don't believe it. Seems like to me there would be more evidence of ET, than some sort of possible government cover up.
