There could be a number of reasons, so I would talk with her doctor. However, if it makes you feel any better, I did not start mine until I was 15 years old. There was no problem except that I was very physically active and had low body fat. I have read before that girls who exercise a lot may skip periods. Once I got it at 15 I would only get it every 2-3 months. Then during track season I went 6 months without it. Is your daugher involved in sports? Is she fairly lean?
I wouldn't worry too much. Many girls are getting their periods very early today because our diets are poorer and higher in fat. If you are still concerned, I would talk with her doctor.

Everyone is different, there is no telling when your daughters period will start. I knew a friend who started hers at 14 and mine didnt start until 16. Its different for everyone. If your that worried wait until shes 17 and get her checked by a gyno.

Probably because she is lucky!!! If you are worried you can have her thyroid and hormone levels checked by doing simple blood tests, and perhaps a visit to a gyno would also help ease any worries.
