Left-of-center, no doubt. It's a rare thing when you find anyone in the entertainment industry who isn't a liberal. The only man I can think of in late-night television who might have some conservative leanings is Craig Ferguson, because he tells it like he sees it and isn't afraid to touch on sensitive religious/political issues, despite what his liberal brethren in the media might think. Whereas Craig comes right out and bashes the idea of secularizing "Christmas," Conan O'Brien bounces around the very word like a circus clown every December, always trying to be politically-correct and saying "Happy Holidays" to his guests, even if they obviously celebrate the C-word. (See Jim Carrey's '05 appearance for a perfect example of this.) I like both of them, but Craig Ferguson is King, and as long as he continues being the most honest man in showbiz and being funny in the process, I'll watch him over Conan any night.

Well, because of his comedy routines of making fun of both parties, he'd be a fool to let the public know what his preference is. It would ruin his whole act. I do know though, that Conan is actually an extremely intelligent Harvard graduate who is the only person in the university’s existence to be their newspaper editor two years in a row. He even delivered the commencement speech to the Harvard class of 2000.

O'Brien and Leno try to go out of their way to seem "fair and balanced" when making political jokes.

I would say democrat. They usually have opposites on at the same time, like david letterman (democrat) and jay leno (republican) and whatever that other guys name is that is opposite conan, i think he's republican.

Oh, how I love the ConeZone!
I think that he's either and independent or he leans toward the left. I think that only a lefty could pull off something as beautiful as the String dance.
