Curse you Kurse! You are making me think! Black Adam would have to take this one, not because of his powers, per se, but because he is far more devious and evil. That's a good VS. scenario, but I'd have to say Black Adam.

Hmm, good one. Second banana vs very-transparent imitation. IIRC, Adam is stronger than Captain Marvel. Originally, Black Adam was the first one that the old wizard Shazam gave his powers to. But he was already a full grown man at the time, and was not morally pure. He used his powers to take over all Egypt. Shazam banished him. Eventually, he returned from beyond the farthest star (after flying at trans light speeds for 5000 years!) to challenge Captain Marvel and the Marvel Family.

Give Uncle (Dudley) Marvel a hand for that one. He was the one who tricked Adam into saying Shazam again, which caused him to revert to his original body, which was now 5000 years old. He turned to dust almost instantly.

The new Black Adam is good (or, at least controlled) and serves as a sort of backup and helper to Captain Marvel.

Hyperion was originally an astronaut from a sub-microscopic world, which was destroyed in a nuclear experiment. He was discovered floating in sub space by the Grandmaster and made part of the Squadron sinister, to challenge the Avengers. Since he was drawn by premier Superman artist Wayne Boring, you HAD to expect him to resemble Superman. After the defeat of the Squadron Sinister he reformed and decided to be a hero.

However, I will ALSO stipulate that I want to use the earlier version of Hyperion, before his fight with the duplicate Hyperion in the Squadron Supreme limited series, in which they had a duel with their atomic vision and Hyperion went blind. In subsequent appearances, he has been dependent on a pair of ‘radar glasses’.

Hyperion was shown as able to survive a clubbing by Thor, with Mjolnir. Thus, he can stand up to Adam’s blows. (And, probably, vice versa.) Hyperion can lift (press) about 75 tons. I thnk Adam may be stronger. But I do not think that Black Adam has a ranged attack capability like the atomic vision.

So, if Hyperion is able to burst Adam’s eyeballs, the way he did to the eyes of the duplicate Hyperion he once fought, or at least keep Adam at bay and wear him down until they can come to grips, then I think that Hyperion will win.

Too close to call...Hyperion has the power advantage...but Black Adam has experience and cunning. Have to go best two out of three and that would probably go to Adam again just on his cunning.
