If you have a good tolerance for pain, don't get an epidural. I didn't have an epidural with either of my kids, and it wasn't too bad. My first was induced and I did have Stadol which is similar to Demerol, It is a muscle relaxer and not a pain killer, so it doesn't interfere with your ability to push. My second child came really fast and I didn't have time for anything. I think you'll recover faster if you skip the epidural.

I tried to get the walking epidule with my last birth, However the baby came to fast and there wasn't enough time to finish it.. they give this kind later into labor i believe than the regular one, Good luck

i would do the walking if you want it to go fast, that way you can walk the halls ect. and that is supposed to move labor along. thats probably what i'm going to do.
