Are you talking about an American 1/2 cent or a British 1/2 penny? Remember there are people on here from all over the world. Using the correct terminology as well as giving as much info as possible helps in getting your question answered correctly and with in a timely manner. As for the 1855 1/2 cent it had a mintage of 56,500 as treetown2 has written. In grade good it has a value of around $32.00 up to $145.00 in grade very fine. More if in real high grades. These are prices a dealer would pay. a dealer will need to see it to grade it. Now if a British 1/2 penny it would be KM# 726 it would be worth anywhere from a few dollars to around $70.00 in mint state. The prices for the 1/2 penny are retails and you would get less from a coin dealer.

hi!! 1855 is a good year for half cents. only 56,500 were minted. I suggest you take it to a coin dealer for grading. the price range for this coin is large all depending on the condition

You would have to get it appraised to determine it's condition. Current values are found to be aywhere from $3400 to $24000 USD depending on the condition.
