What kind of oil you use isn't really an issue. The il isn't what reduces the scar. Its more the act of massaging that increases blood flow to the area which helps break down scar tissue. However, it is true that vitamin E is good for skin in general. Any oil such as vitamin E, Jojoba, Tea Tree, or even olive oil will help. I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter to help reduce scars and keep my stretched aerlobes supple.

I have used both Vitamin E capsules and oil in the past but I find that there is more substance in the pill to me. U could always break open the pill and use the inside substance for the scar if u like) To me the capsule has a heavier consistency-which I prefer.

Why dont you go buy a little tube of Mederma, it's much cheaper and dermatologist recommended. You can buy it at a walgreens or Cvs for like 10 bucks. You wont have to go through the hassle of breaking anything open and a sticky oil that can ruin clothes. Or taking them, just simply dab a little on and your good to go. And it smells much better too (like roses).

Tea tree oil is good too. It's the massage that really breaks up the scar.

if you don't want scars stop sticking stuff in your skin. if you are Hispanic or black you are more prone to scaring due to keloid factor. once skin is destroyed by scaring it will never be the same, sure u can make it look better for a while but it will always be scared. don't believe me? look at older people with scars.
