well....first of all what does this girl like? pick a theme that shes into. It can be a star party, disney, glam, fashion, movies, 60's, harrypotter.....whatever it is. just have props and stuff to decorate the house/hall/room/yard...have her best friends come over and hang out. They can have music, games and stuff like that. Slumber parties are fun for lots of teen girls. if you want a fun game Dance Dance Revolution is a great game thats affordable and thats popular these days. it can be like a competiton sort of thing. If she wants something elegant or something and ya got the money book a small hall in a hotel and hire a DJ. the kids can dance and have food and stuff but if you ask my opinion that was too formal. Just ask her what she's into....unless its a surprise party. Some girls like to go to theme parks w/ a group of friends or an opera or concert or something like that.

this will sound goofy, and maybe not at all logical. ASK THE CHILD. I have been mom to 3 kids who at one point was 14 years old...and the answer to that question is about as individual as the child is.

my oldest wanted a makeup party even though she wouldnt be allowed to actually wear makeup out of the house for two more years. i called in 2 mary kay consultants, i invited their parents, me and the parents in one room with one consultant, the girls in the other room with the other consultant. facials are free. the parents had already told the consultant which girl could and could not order products. I let my daughter get skin care but not makeup. other kids were allowed to wear makeup at fourteen so it kept the parents in the mix so no one was mad that the girls came home as mini-painted ladies.

my son wanted laser tag. total surprise to me, but i approved it. its like paintball only without the laundry problems. they are given a sensor that beeps if you are hit. once you are hit...there are 2 diff tones to say if you are injured and can keep playing or dead. kids hunt each other down and fire. the place even had tunnels, and gulleys and such to hide in and behind to zap each other. haha he had a ball, i had coffee and croissants with the other parents. haha

my youngest, she wanted a movie and pizza with only 8 of her friends. two of the other parents volenteered to help, so 3 kids in one car, i had 1 extra in my car and the rest in a van. we all met at the movie theater...i paid for everything including the other two parents, then we went to chuck e. cheese, there i only paid for all the kids, the parents can buy their own food. (one parent ordered ate a whole pizza all by hisself)

at 14, they are trying to be little adults so they like giving imput into stuff going on with them. the tougher question is what to do when they are 15 to 18. hahaha

hope this helps.

well i had some friends over and we all went to a play of my daughters choice. then we came home and had pizza and soda... then they all slept in a tent out side. i was so fun. it does depend on the childs personality. and what they like.

Ask the child's friends what they think she would like...it's your best bet. She's probably told them what she wants, and what she doesn't.
