Yes! I just ran into this problem the other day. Your memory is bad and you'll need to replace it. You'll need to open up your computer (make sure it's turned off), take out the RAM and replace it with the same kind of RAM. Bring the old RAM to the store if you have too. RAM can be tricky if you don't know EXACTLY what you're looking for.

But that is DEFINITELY the problem.

The blue screen means that your computer encountered an error
Dumping memory means it has to shut down no matter what but usually the system reboots the files.
You can fix it by running a error+virus scan on the computer and it will probably delete the error.

You need to write down the errors or filenames that it lists on the BSoD as being the cause of the crash. This could help identify what is wrong.

It could be many things. Most common:

1) Corrupted O/S
2) Bad spot on hard disk
3) Dead memory chip

If it only happens when you run certain software, you may want to check the minimum requirements or re-install that software.

You can also check that all your drivers are up to date. I had a BSoD problem when trying to run the Links Golf PC game - the cause was an out of date video driver that raised its ugly head after I updated my DirectX software.

Ah hah! Talk about fate, I had the exact same problem today while building a pc. It means that one of your sticks of ram is probably bad, for whatever reason. unplug the ones you have in there, one at a time until the system responds normally, and replace the offending ram stick!

I also had this problem many times, and it usually means you do not have enough RAM.

I installed Windows and started over on my computer to fix this problem. I had too many background programs running at once, which made my computer break down. To see your background problems hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and then click on the tab Processes.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

I believe it means your hard drive is crashing.

I would replace it before it actually crashes and you lose everything you have stored on your computer.
