Teen guys and girls: Is this outfit slutty?

Medium wash, hipster jeans from AE.
Dark blue Hurley baby tee (light blue logo, its a surf brand).
The jeans are tight, not super tight just tight like every other girl on this planet wears them. And the shirt shows a tiny sliver of my stomach.

I want to make sure it won't be seen as slutty, im 15, 5ft tall Blonde hair and green eyes.

No, it's not slutty.

However, there are places/events where the scale slides a little and something generally appropriate is considered differently. For instance, that outfit WOULD be considered innappropriate in church, as folks mention, but not in a grocery store at 4 in the afternoon. It would at 10am. In a club, it would seem rather tame, yet some men would still give you marks for "trying." For lying on your bed with a girlfriend doing homework or discussing the day it would be perfectly good. At the dog park, it would be just a girl enjoying the day. So consider your intended destination.

You might notice something else, though to be fair, not a lot of males answered. The people saying it's slutty are just about all women. How old a person is will often inform how a person would answer this question. By this, I do not just mean that different age slices have different standards. I also mean that a woman might look at you and think something like "Oh wow, if she dresses like this at 15, she'll be doing the 2 inches of butt crack, thong prominent, camel toe when she's really going for it, no bra, or see-through top look at 18 or 20" and she could judge your look (and say things) based on what she's thinking for the end of the progression more that for what she sees to day. Not fair, but living life shows people how things like that go. Then you have whether a girl feels threatened by your outfit. A girl who wore something that isn't quite as tight or with a sliver of tummy could lash out (a little, it's not like the shirt tucks under your boobs... and then stops) because she thought she'd be the one getting noticed by the boys for being at the edge. Consider the possibility of an audience where the outfit will be worn, and what others might wear, because they will call it in a way that informs their anxieties and situations, not out of fairness to you. Still hurts though, hearing it then or as a rumor later. So consider it.

I dont know, but I personally didn't have these questions going through my head at 15. I'm 20, and they still don't cross my mind. To this day, if my dad sees my back showing, or a bit of my stomach, he comments on it even it it is just 'a sliver'. Obviously there are things that you might wear that might show some skin if u move a certain way or what not, but if you have to ask a question like this, it kind of gives the impression that you're not 100% comfortable with wearing the outfit out because of what people might think and 9 times out of 10, if YOU'RE thinking it, chances are, other people will think it too. That being said, Unless you're on the beach, or tanning or surging or anything like that, there's really no need to show skin unless you're looking for attention. If you're not in one of those places and you're showing skin, you WILL get attention, whether you meant to or not, so just make sure you're aware. Believe me, that little sliver of stomach doesn't REALLY need to be seen, so why not wear a long tank top under it and go for that layered look. Much cuter on a 15 year old. From my experience, the younger the person showing skin, the more 'slutty' she is perceived, so if you're not, don't give people that impression.

Not very slutty to me! If you were wearing a bikini top and a belt then that would be slutty. it's good you don't want to a appear slutty cos most people my age think appearing slutty is a bonus! I'm 14. But a tiny sliver of your stomach and long jeans seem fine to me. I have a top I wear with jeans that show about an inch of my stomach and I don't think it's slutty. It has long sleeves though.

No, of course not the outfit is fine, it would be slutty if you acted slutty in it. I think you should have one "piece" showing. If you have nice legs just show them off, if you have a good chest then show that off. If you have a flat stomach a sliver can show. All of them together would be slutty. But one is just fine

Doesn't seem slutty to me. Slutty is pretty much more skin than clothing, and a low cut shirt. If you see a tiny sliver of tummy, that's ok. Just make sure your belly button doesn't show.

HOW IS THAT SLUTTY? if you wore a skirt that covered up to the butt, and a tank top with a push up bra that showed alot of boobie, then you would be kinda slutty. if your jeans werent tight-ish, then your @ss would look saggy and weird. and its okay to show a tiny bit of stomach if you dont have any gut hanging out and this isnt even inappropriate to church. you would just be dressing casual. jeans and a tee

Remember that many styles of clothes these days tend to emphasize certain characteristics about a person. Just make sure you don't wear something that emphasizes the wrong thing. If you are having second thoughts about it then don't go against your conscience. Wear something that you know for a fact wouldn't provoke a guy. You can still have plenty of style ( I mean Plenty) without emphasizing anything.

Doesn't sound slutty...Sounds trendy and cute. If you want to know what slutty looks like, try a see thru top with a bra, cut offs that go up to your butt or anything that shows cleavage. Tight jeans aren't slutty unless they are showing butt crack on purpose.

Mabey you already think so that's why you need another opinion? Depend on what your doing to. Dont wear it to church but going out with friends should be ok.
