I use a mixture of bleach and water in a spray bottle. I vary the amount of water I add based on how badly stained the grout is, sometimes 50-50 sometimes 80-20. I spray the grout with the solution, leave it for between a half hour and an hour then agitate with a brush where the bleach solution hasn't removed the stains. Then I rinse the area with water and dry it with a terry towel. I did try my neighbor's shark steamer once, but found it didn't work as well and made more of a mess than anything.
