2 sin (45) = 2^(1/2)
sin (135) = 2^(1/2)/2
==>

ans = ( 5 * 2^(1/2) ) /2
= 3.53553

ok. so what is the problem?

Sin 45* is .70710678.......
Sin 135* is (by a strange coincidence) .70710678...

so its simply 5 (.70710678)

which is 3.54'

but I think your teacher is trying to show you something here. What do you think it is??
