Start by observing in a clinic...make sure it's what you want to do. Get your observation documented as they will probably need to serve as a reference later on.

Then, look at some schools you are intersted in. Go the the APTA website at www.apta.org to get the list of accredited schools so you can see what their prerequisite requirements are. Based on that, choose a degree path that will encompass the prerequisite courses for the program you wish to apply to. Biology is usually a safe bet. Focus on a high GPA for your prerequisite courses. Depending on the structure of the program, you may or may not need to complete your BS prior to admission to the program.

Well you'll need at least a Masters Degree to be a certified Physical Therapist. So You first need a bachelors then a Masters. Its that simple. And you need most likely a 2.5 or 3.0 on a 4 point scaled to get in to a Masters Program.
