It is said that the three most important questions are: Who am I, Who is God, and What is my relationship to God. You are asking the first most important question. You can break that down into 3 more questions. What am I? (Are you a body? Or are you a being which posseses a body?) What is the nature of the life within the body? What is the relationship between this self, and other lives?

Everything you do ,think and say defines who you are.Your job, your idea of a night out,the type of person you are attracted to,the type of person that makes you feel uncomfortable, the type of food you eat ,the movies you like/dislike.
here's an example of what I mean.
Do you follow a sports team ?If you do why that team?
Is it because all your friends like that team (suggests you are a pack member who just does what is expected of you i.e get a job ,get married ,have kids ,go on family vacations once a year ,have B B Q's in the summer get a pension plan ,retire and die) or because non of them do. (suggests you like to stand out from the crowd ,experience life from other peoples cultures ,be opinionated ,get involved in protests when you see what you perceive to be injustice, challenge authority, question why tings are as they are and so on and so on).
So you see one small fairly trivial thing can say a lot about you.
What you should do is write everything about yourself ,as in what job you do ,etc and then ask why you do this or that ,why you like this and that ,why admire this Person and dislike that one ,eventually you will see a thread or common theme running thru out your choices which will help you see your personality.

I can't wait for the day that I find myself, when I finally figure out who I am. You cannot define who you are by your occupation or your physical appearance or what you own or what you like to do. Who you are is not a personal choice. You can never find out who you are until you see yourself in somebody else.
Who you are is based upon your experiences in life, and how you reacted to these experiences. Every single thing that you have done so far in your lifetime has lead you to this point, the point where you are on the internet waiting for somebody to answer your question. There is so much humanism in this. Looking for impossible answers from people who never even heard this question. We cannot define you, you cannot define you. One day, you will meet somebody who makes you react in a certain way, be it good, bad, immorally, kind; any kind of reaction will show you who you are.
I found a little piece of myself the other day. I saw a homeless man in the city looking for a hand-out. "Spare change, Mac?" he asked me, as if he was from a 1953 Porky Pig cartoon. I asked him his name, and he said it was John, which is funny because that's mine as well. I guess it's a common name, but I invited him to join me for some coffee. We sat in the freezing cold, sipping Dunkin' Donuts and talking for about 20 minutes. He told me his life, and I listened. He didn't tell me who I am, but I realized the potential for who I can be. I learned from his experiences, and I adapt them into my own life. When it was time for me to leave, I got up from the sidewalk and he followed suit. I looked him in the eye, shook his hand and said, "John, it was nice meeting you," and gave him twenty dollars that I could have used for a lot, but so could he.
John the Bum showed me myself. He showed me who I am and who I don't want to be. He showed me that even though I may be somewhat sadistic at times, deep down, I know I have a good heart.
Sorry to be going off on a tangent like this, but I thought it was somewhat pertinent to your question. So instead of looking here for answers, go out and find them. Talk to people, don't just pass them by with a smile or a nod. Human existence relies on communication. Say something good today.

Possibly Age, Sex and Nationality.
But you are or likely to be on-a-sticky-wicket with this Define
stuff. Still, this type of info will be used more and more,
-and not just by computors- to regulate, catagorise, sift
and collate or list.
And with billions of us still in poverty, and populations rising,
i would say that that above is a very good thing(even better
than definitions themselves!).

What you know and what you do with that knowledge defines who you are.
Ask this to the peroson closest to you (mom, kids, spouse)
1. What do you love the most?
2. What do you stand for?
3. What do you hate the most?
