Ok.... To start slow.... Ebay is a great place to sell things. its better to start as a buyer and learn get a feel for the site. First, go on to ebay and type in the BUY section what it is you want to sell. this should give you an idea of how much it will sell for. take some nice pics. now you are ready.

now go to the item similar and on the right side under where it says WATCH THE ITEM it says SELL SIMILAR i do not like to do Buy it Now when I sell, so chose the standard auction format. if its a videogame or a movie do a 5 day auction. if its a cell phone or a camera a 3 day is fine. if its anything else you should really check out how good of shape it is in and decide if its worth your time. ebay will do a good job of walking you thru. Make sure the pics you are putting in are clear and not too big as far as pixels go. ALWAYS use the Gallery feature.

Be honest in your listing, mention you have not had the item long. etc. etc. etc. tell the story of how you got it and why its for sale. the story sells the item. be brief, though.

You must sign up with paypal first. its the safest way to pay and receive payment. go to www.paypal.com and sign up, have your banking info ready. it will take about 3-4 days to verify your checking account, but it is worth it. you can then use paypal for other things too, like wireing money for FREE. Paypal payments are received immediately to your paypal account and deducted immediately from your checking. money in your paypal acct can be used to pay for items on ebay or can easily be transferred to the afore mentioned verified checking acct.

happy selling, and remember to check peoples ratings!!!!

You can sell as much or as little on Ebay as you like. SOme people do Ebay as a business and to others, it's just something fun to do and tehy sell a few things here and there. Read everything you can on the site though before you start selling. You need to know what you're doing, or at least have a clue, before you start selling. I disagree with the answer above me....you will get more bids with paypal than without. There are A LOT of buyers who will only bid if paypal is accepted (me for one). Trust me, you WILL get more bids with paypal than without.

click on the "sell" tab, then upload photos, and put in text which is the description of the item your selling. be honest and take good pix, set a low price like 99 cent they will bid it up. also try yahoo auctions.
