Why do people hate Cena?

I hate him because he can't wrestle, his moves are limited, his gimmick and attitude suck. I also don't think he does well at cutting promos. He couldn't cut one to save his life. And, on top of all this, the WWE decides to put the belt on him. It is because of his lack of skills that he may be the worse WWE Champion of all time, and he has no credibility whatsoever. I know that I am not the only person who feels this way. They need to get the belt off of him, and soon. He also ripped off The Rock's finishing move, The People's elbow. He is the George Bush of wrestling. No wonder why the ECW fans held up signs like "If Cena wins, we riot." I am a WWE fan, and I hope no one questions that because I am not a fan of someone like Cena. At whatever show he wrestles, you would hear a mixture of boos and cheers, so people hating Cena isn't as farfetched as one might think. People who are Cena fans are mostly women and pre-teenaged children. I don't think you will find too many men cheering for Cena. Also, most Cena fans weren't fans of the WWE whether it was the age of Hulkamania or the WWF Attitude Era. In other words CENA FANS AREN'T REAL WRESTLING FANS!!!! You needed to see when the WWE was the WWF and if you were real young at the time or whatever, then borrow tapes or DVD's of the events that defined the WWF Attitude Era or the Hulkamania era. And, I hope that there isn't any Cena fans that were also fans in the WWF days, because those people are even more hopeless. Look, if you want to be a Cena fan, fine. The way I see it, I have either failed to convince you or these people need help. The reasons that I have given may not be good enough for everyone, but it is good enough for me.

For me there are many reasons. The first being this whole "gangsta" image. He was nowhere near being a thug when he debuted but when the G-Unit got big he became the Dr. of Thuganomics. I don't care about his limited move set b/c none of the bigger names do anything special after awhile anyway. But he always does the same set of moves at every point in his matches. He has also just become to invincible. You will not beat John Cena when the title is on the line. His matches have become very predictable and boring. And the whole Marine w/the salutes and fatigue is just more garbage. He needs to be "heel". We boo this man yet Vince continues to force feed him to us as a "face" until we accept him. And no, The Marine was trash!!! And I never knew that disliking a wrestler makes you a hater or jealous. If that was the case we would like no celebrities. Their lives are all glamorous compared to the working class. I like plenty of wrestlers and rappers. Cena just sucks.

I personally don't like him because he tries too hard to be just like the rock or austin. The Rock and Austin had the charisma and microphone skills to be a big star, but Cena tries to be just like him. His moves suck. How many times has he botched, and when i say botched I mean not even lock the move on all the way, the STFU? He doesn't even lock his arms on their face, just crosses his arms in front with no pressure. The FU isn't all that great a move either. Now if he would drop them on their head or neck it wouldn't seem as fake, but instead he throws them on their back. That's like someone having a back drop as their finishing move. By the way, I find it funny how you say in the question you don't want to hear "he's hot" or "he's cute", and look at all those that have that as an answer.

People are so very different. Some like Rock, some like country. The same goes with wrestlers. I respect the opinions of everyone, they have a right to dislike any wrestler they want to. But coming online in a forum and bashing them is rediculous. What's the point? When people do that: I blame it on pure jealousy. Cena is a hero to little kids and a dream to most women. Win-win situation, if you ask me. lol.

Ok we are not jealous. There is John Cena the person and John Cena WWE superstar. I have never met JC the person but JC WWE character is to appeal to a younger audience kids from 9-13 to them everything he does is cool but being older it is just hard to believe it. Fact is he is a white boy from massachusetts, and not a gangster or a rapper. He does have charisma but he sucks in the ring. And get this right cena wanabe posers, he may have money and lots of fans but we ain't jealous.

I used to not like Cena, when he first appeared on Smackdown cause I thought his rapping was bad and his gangster outfit kindof fake but now I like him.

Because the character he is paid to play is meant to be hated. WWE is pure entertainment and not real so people are hated because the creators want them to be hated.
