Well parts of it are beautiful yes, Snoqualmie pass off 1-90 is absolutely beautiful if you like mountains, waterfalls, etc. I personally love Seattle and Spokane. I am from a city located in Idaho just across the border from WA. Coeur d' Alene. If you want to see beautiful I suggest Idaho. Theres alot of pretty places to go and see there. Lake Coeur d' Alene and the town itself, along with Lake Pend Orielle. And if your in Seattle its only about 4 hours away. Seattle also has many fun places to go such as Seattle Space Needle, then just walk around that area for some more fun, It actually depends on what part of WA your wanting to know about. Southern WA is not so pretty either. So yes WA has some pretty places, and I can say this because I have traveled across the US and so far the most beautiful places I have yet to see are the pacific northwest!

Like any place, there are pretty parts and a few eyesores. Washington state has few eyesores. They don't call Seattle the 'emerald city' for nothing! Lots and lots of trees, they have the rainforest a few hours outside of Seattle, and of course there is the Pacific ocean and the snow capped moutains!
Plenty to do as well, especially for the outdoors-y types.

Yes, if you go to the right place.
There's this thing in the middle called "Columbia Basin"; it's a desert and it's ugly.
Everywhere else is great. We have lots of rivers, lakes and coastline, decent skiing (not as good as Colorado), most of the northern half is covered with national forest land, lots of good hunting, snow-capped mountains half the year, a few ghost towns, like Winthrop, fishing and crabbing in Pudget Sound, and one of the nation's largest wildlife area on the Olympic Penninsula.

if i could i would move back! there are just a few states i would live in ...and washington one of them. don't get me wrong it has ugly spot too. the traffic around seattle. yet when your ride the ferry across the sound and you look up and see seattle and mtn. rainer..it amazing. enjoyed the olympic mnts and the pacific northwest rain forest. washington is a diverse state geographically and really depend on where your heading.

On the west "wet" side, we have 245/365 days with measurable rain (sometimes a slight drizzle, but still rain), and white skies from Mid-September to early April. So, if you want bluer skies, go to the other side of the mountains, but give up the vast trees and oceans.
Mountains and water, though? Seattle is particularly proud of it.
