gel nails are less damaging to your natural nails, and gel nails look more natural.acrylics are stronger and more durable.Acrylics definitly last longer. You can get air bubbles in both products, but you wont when the products are applied correctly.That is not what causes "fungus" (mold).It does not "seap" into the air bubbles, it is caused by moisture trapped between your natural nail and your fake nail,due to lifting or improper application.

My sister says that gel nails are healhier and more natural -looking, but acrylic nails are stronger. Just be careful of air bubbles with both kinds because fungus will develop should moisture seep into these air bubbles. If you do go for a full set of nails, whichever kind you choose, I would advise going to a professional.
In my experience, acrylic nails last longer, and I much prefer them to gel nails.
