The greatest distance between two points, in the whole Universe, is from the head to the heart. The shortest distance between two points, is from the heart to the head.

Once the heart grasps a certain truth it can convince the head; intellectual truths however take a long time to reach the heart. Even a great logical mind like Einstein had to deal with this problem.

The heart and the head have complementary functions. The conclusion reached with the help of one of these faculties must be checked and verified with the other faculty.

Within the head lies reason, rationality, logic. Within the heart lies emotion, will, and conscience. You may rationalize that if you steal, you won't get caught, but the conscience may tell you it is wrong. In that case, you must decide using the objective intelligence. In another scenario, your heart may tell you to give a drunken beggar some money, but the head will reason that the beggar is going to buy a bottle of liquor with it. Again, using the objective intelligence can help decide the best course of action when the head and the heart are in conflict. Based on that, I would say that I have gradually trusted more in the head.

I listen to both equally. My actions are generally driven by my head, except when I let myself be led by my heart. Note that I say "let myself", which implies my head must agree with my heart before I can take action.

I have in the past done things my head disagreed with, but that was because my head and my heart were having an argument and so I just did it anyway.
