My husband has his own business and can take off work when he wants to. He was off over a week for Christmas holidays and then he hurt his back right before going bac to work and he just returned back to work this week. Am I a bad wife b/c I was looking forward to him going back to work? I like being at home by myself sometimes and I just felt like I needed to breathe. Please be honest. I do love my hubby and look forward to evenings with him.

We all need space to charge our batteries. I love my wife but if I had to spend 24/7 with her I am afraid I would strangle her. I enjoy working in my shop on cars or refinishing a rifle stock or whatever in the evenings and she likes to talk with friends about clothes and cooking and yaddah. We are not meant to be totally alike in all respects. VIVA LA DIFFERNCE.

No you're not! My hubby was home for 6 weeks because he had his appendix out then complications and by the end of the 6 weeks I was out of my mind. I couldn't wait for the doctor to tell him he could go back to work. So much so, I woke up and made him breakfast that morning - something I never did before or since.

Sometimes we crave a return to routine. We don't know what to do with ourselves when we have so much time together all of a sudden.

I don't know about a bad wife, but be extra good to your husband.

no you are not a bad wife. you just need your personal space. some need more personal space more than others. it's not healthy to be all up in each other's faces all the time. having personal space (or a room that is your own) is healthy.

No, you are not a bad wife, we all like our "me" time. To do whatever we want to do.
