Hi, I am planning to register a domain name for e-commerce online shopping purposes, but the only thing stopping me is its ending with gs (e.g. www.january.gs). Does people care about the extension ending with gs? Would the domain name ending with gs (e.g. www.january.gs) for online shopping business be as suitable as .com? Please give me advise!

Also, what about ending with com vs co.uk?

I wouldn't use it.
.com is the standard. If you want regular people to be visiting your site, you want the most common domain ending.
.gs is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

People will type just about anything before the .com, but those odd alternate endings that domain reg sites want to sell you arent worth the fee.

Think up something with a .com ending.
