Would these be fun destinations for kids? Is Myrtle overrun with college kids-gone-wild? What's the water like in April - still pretty chilly? Thanks for any insight. I'm not familiar with the area at all.

I go to Myrtle Beach every spring. The only time it will be overrun with spring breakers is the weekends.....The last poster is right, it is just starting to be nice all the time again there as in the water getting warmer and all. But it is way more kid friendly than HHI. They have waterparks and speedparks and amusement areas. There is mini golf and shopping and plenty of entertainment geared toward kids. It is affordable and has affordable eating also. They have tons of coupon books upon arrival that have plenty of discounts for eating and shopping.
