The copier function is the problem the fax function is quiet. It sounds like there is a dying bird in the rollers.

You would probably have to replace the rollers. They do wear out. Unfortunately the cost of repair is usually almost as much as a new one.

Simple: buy a sledge hammer...

Actually, just put a little WD-40 where the rollers are coming into contact with whatever it is that is causing the squeak and see what happens.

One way is to launch it out the window, which is what happened to my last printer. But if you follow the trouble-shooting guide it should tell you how to maintain and correct it.
