Well, I have to say, you do seem to have symptoms, but since your period is due 5 days from now they could just be pre-menstruation symptoms, so you are wise to not get too hyped up. But, on the brighter side of things, I suggest you go get a clear blue easy pregnancy test today. (make sure it's the kind that says "test as soon as 5 days early" on the front of the box). Take the test tomorrow morning with your very first pee. Since you are still at least 5 days away from your period, you want to make sure you get the highest concentration of hormones. Also, get a box that contains two, it's cheaper, and if you don't get a positive reading tomorrow morning, then try again if you don't get your period by the 16th and your still nauseous. If you wake up on the 17th, don't have your period, and still have been having symptoms, then take the second test your first pee of the morning of the 17th. I went through years of false pregnancy symptoms and wondering if I ever would conceive for real, so I consider myself an "expert" at the testing. Hard not too, cuz I ended up getting it down to an exact science. Partially cuz I wanted to be pregnant so badly, partly because I didn't want to smoke or drink or anything if there was a chance I was pregnant. Good luck, and if you are, CONGRATULATIONS. If you're not, try try try again. Even a woman with regular periods can take quite a few months if not a year to get pregnant, especially if you don't get your ovulation day exactly right. (there are many factors that can throw off even the smartest women as to their ovulation day) Do not get discouraged if you're not pregnant, usually the time you say oh well and stop hoping so well is when bam, your pregnant.

have you ever heard of psychosomatic symptoms? thats where your physical symptoms are of a psychological cause, and not really caused by anything physiological. Think of when you hear someone has lice... all of a sudden your head feels itchy, doesn't it? that's because when you are thinking a lot about something (especially if it is something that makes you paranoid or excited, it makes you more aware of the parts of your body that would be effected, and you kind of fulfill your expectations of that illness or condition). This could certainly be the case, with you hoping and expecting you may be pregnant. You are looking more closely for the symptoms that you associate with pregnancy. Like right now, I know im not pregnant, but I could honestly tell you that in the last 2 weeks, i have been very tired, my back hurts, and i have felt nauseous on more than one occasion. while these things are symptoms of early pregnancy, they are also very common to women when they are not pregnant. Your hoping that you may be pregnant may be influencing the way you are interpreting the WHY you are experiencing these things. If you were not even thinking about being pregnant, you may think of all of these symptoms as separate, never assuming that they all have the same cause... do you get where im going here? However, this does not mean you AREN'T pregnant... just consider it as a possibility... after all, most women do not experience the symptoms of pregnancy until a couple of days before the first day of their missed period. Since you are reporting these symptoms earlier than most I would guess that they are not due to pregnancy, but they could be. You very well may be pregnant. Also keep in mind that it takes the average healthy fertile couple about 6 months to conceive, so its not as easy as you would think. Good luck!!

Well, I felt the EXACT same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter. In the mornings when I woke up my stomach would be tight and it would feel like cramps also. I felt tired and weak and nauseous all the time not just in the mornings. Besides these three symptoms are you experiencing anything else? Like breast tenderness, extreme sensitivity to smell, cravings for food you dont usually crave?...if yes then it could be very possible that you could be pregnant. But you need to remember also that the same symptoms that are related to pregnancy can be similar to PMS symptoms. And as for a test. You can get the new over the counter tests that you can take around 4 days before your expected period. First Responce I believe its called. Good luck and God bless!

you can actually test now, using an at home pregnancy test or HPT. First response is good, but I like the EPT digital read out test. Don't be discouraged if it comes up negative, just test again if you miss your cycle.
For some people, those that are trying to have a baby, have the false alarm symptoms, like the symptoms one has before her cycle. For others, it usually takes a little longer for the symptoms to appear....like around 6-8 weeks preggers.
I studied to become a Doula a couple of years ago, plus I'm a mom of two boys, so I have some knowledge on this. If you feel unsure of the test's read out, I would recommend you seeing your OBGYN for blood tests.
I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!
P.S. Cramping, in the beginning, can also mean a sign of implantation of the embryo, on the uterus wall.

If you purchase a early pregnancy test you can test now, I like the clear blue easy digital when hormone levals are low you get a digital answer no light or faint lines to read. Your signs are consistant with pregnancy however your mind can hype you up to feel fasle pregancy symptoms. If you do test & get a negative wait & see if your period comes if not test again. I always get light ovulation type cramps when I am, pregnant for the first few weeks. Also maorning sickness can begin as early as 3 weeks pregnant you count pregnancy weeks from the first day of your last period even though you are not yet preggers then! Best of Luck, sending you baby dust!

Well, I am in the same boat as you are. My husband and I are also trying to have a baby. I have been feeling nausea too and my back has been hurting me. See with me I was one day late and got my period. My period was very iregular for me and only lasted 2.5 days. So we'll see. You can get that first response pregnancy test and test yourself 5 days before your due and take it when you first wake up in the morning. They say the hormone is strong with the first urination of the day. There can always be a chance to be preganat. I know my cousin is pregnant and she had cramping like she was getting her period too but her doctor said it was normal. So you never know unless you test yourself. I know the feeling not wanting to get all hyper over this , But it is exciting and I wish you all the luck in the world!

I didn't know with my first child at all that I was prego or that I could have been we were trying but I didn't have any of those symptoms. My brest hurt but I kept saying that was because my period was due to start. This time I knew almost right away that I was and I am still dealing with the morning sickness that I have had from almost one week after. I am now 12 weeks prego so I would say your chances are good but to be sure take first response at home test it will tell you 5 days before your missed period. It has never failed me yet I used it for both of my pregnancys.

implantation usually occurs 10 days after conception. although there is exceptions to every rule that is a general time. morning sickness usually comes after implantation occurs, although other early signs could be being more tired than usual, and tender breasts. cramping usually comes along with the implantation of the embryo, and can last on and off for your entire pregnancy. since your period is due the 16th you should be able to test within the next few days, although dont be disappointed if it does come up negative. you may just not have enough of the hormone in your body for it to show up positive. try again 5-7 days after you miss. good luck on being pregnant!

Mine is due on the 16th too, I tested today...It was 11 days since my husband and I may have gotten pregnant. I don't have nausea but I have the same cramp feelings and muscles sore at the sides of my hips. The test looks like it's playing tricks on me..the strong neg line is there and suck a faint line crossing I wonder if it can really be true POSITIVE. I will test with morning urine tomorrow!!!!If you and I conceived around the same time you might be able to test now too!!Good luck!!(I also feel a 'life spark' down there.....like a burst of energy.....

How exciting!
Your symtoms do sound a lot like early pregnancy. Light cramping is extremely common in early pregnancy, and some women even spot a little bit during implantation.
You can test as early as 4 days before your period with First Response tests, although they are not completely accurate until you have missed your period. They won't give you a false positive, but they could give you a false negative.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
