Holt!

Terrel Owens is a cancer on any team he is on...Any benefit he brings on the field is far off set by the trouble he causes in the locker room!

On the other hand, I don't like the Cowboys and have loved what T. O. has done for them...May he continue to bless them to an even greater degree with his wisdom and character for years to come.

I LOVE Holt with the Rams!...Character and locker room chaos aside, I'd still have him over T. O.

Holt has never had a year like T. O. has this year...T.O. led the league in dropped passes!...Couldn't happen to a more deserving player...Then he had the audacity to complain when the ball didn't come his way enough!

Holt is a class act...T.O. is a classless act!

GEAUX RAMS!!!

To be honest, in my opinion, which is not necessarily correct, Terrell Owens is probably the more naturally gifted of the two, but there is more to being a good wide receiver than that.
But to answer the question, who is a better wide receiver? Torry Holt. Not to be judgmental, but TO has too many on and off the field "issues", and there is the fact that he dropped more passes than any other receiver this season.

Overall, I say Holt is the better of the two, or at least that is my take on it

TO is the better reciever, the player led the league in TD catches and still had a broken hand most of the year. Torry Holt is a good reciever but when was the last time he led the league in anything.

Speed : Owens
Stats : Holt
Madurity : Holt
Strength : Owens
Catching : Holt

I think that TO may be stronger and he is one of the fastest but in the game with his mentality that doesn t matter because with his inmadurity all of his positive aspects go to trash because he is very negative so he doesn t plays as good as if he had a good mentality and in the other side Holt doesn t speaks many trash as TO he has very secure hands and he is more positive I would choose Holt because he is positive and he is a great WR for me better than TO one of the negative aspects of TO is that he drops too many passes and that´s brutal for the team morale.

I want to knee-jerk my answer to holt, and his career numbers are incredible, but I think this season tells a different story.

Face it, after a blazing start, Holt simply disappeared in the 2nd half of the season. It looks like Holt has lost a step, which is critical because he is not a strong or physical receiver. He has always relied on smooth routes and good speed to be great receiver, and it looks like he clearly slipped this year.

Shaky hands (finger injury?) notwithstanding, Owens looked as good as ever physically this season. He led the league in Touchdowns and still has good speed. More importantly, as long as he keeps his mouth shut Owens' size, physicality and incredible strength will make him a viable receiver long after his wheels are shot.

Lastly, ask yourself, with Marc Bulger and the Rams offense, is there a better place to be as a wide receiver than St. Louis? Holt has a great advantage in where he plays.

Final Verdict: Owens wasn't perfect, but he was better than Holt this year. More importantly, it looks like Owens, at 32, has a lot more left in the tank than Holt.

Terrell Owens. I will not consider your considerations because you already made it clear you want the answer to be Holt but he is not the better WR he is the better person but not the better WR. Attitude towards team does not determine position ability.

Torry Holt. It's not even a debate. T.O. drops more passes than anyone else, is a poison in the locker room, and wants all the glory and attention for himself.
Holt will finish in the top 2 or 3 in career receptions, is a fantastic teammate, keeps his mouth shut and cares more about the team than himself.

Torry Holt by far.

Late in the season, TO actually had the hightest dropped pass percentage. That a rough stat to be leading in, especially after shooting your mouth off as much as he does. That when he made the statement in which he compared himself to Jerry Rice, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jordan saying they didn't catch every pass, make every putt, or sink every shot either. In my opinion, TO has a lot to learn, specifically on how to be a good teammate. He's a distraction and detracts from his team on and off the field.

Torry Holt ended up on the right team and an the right system.
He is the most constant wr in the NFL today.

His work ethic and overall respect for the game make him one of the very best in the game and his numbers show that.
