I am acting this play out in drama, am I the only one who has never heard of this film before? I read up on it and it seems quite funny- I have the part as Beverly.

Yes, I have seen the TV version. It's an excellent play, and the part of Beverly is the best. You should try and get a chance to see it on DVD.
