He thinks I could enjoy it, but I think that's just his own interest talking. Is it worth it for me to giveit a try? I like to quit playing when it suits me... and not have to wait for others or reaching a certain point, etc. Also, we have a three month old baby, so if I were playing while the baby is sleeping, I'd want to just walk away when the baby wakes up. Is it worth it for me to spend te money to give it a try? We each have our own computers and he wouldn't let me play on his. His computer and characters are too important to him.....

Just to clarify... there is enough trust and rspect in the relationship that I am not concerned about porn, cheating or myspace. He plays in front of me sometimes and our computers are in the same room. I used his computer when mine was still not set up. He is just protective of his PC cuz his brother broke it once before and he spent hours fixing it. So he likes to keep everyone off as a result.

Star Wars Galaxies is played on many separate but identical servers or realms. If you start to play you will want your own account on your own computer so you can make a character on your fiance's server and do things with him. But to try out the game, you can create a character on a world he's not using on his computer and play with it there. If you like it, then go ahead and set yourself up. SWG is an interesting game because there are things to do that are not shoot and kill related. You might find you really like just hanging out in the cantina learning to dance and play music. If it's his big interest, at least give it a try. (And in the future if there's something YOU love, you can ask him to try something he doesn't really want to with a clear conscience.)

As a girl, I would have to say to give it a shot. I've been a hardcore gamer for over 10 years now because I was in your situation. I was living with a guy and all his buddies would come over and ignore me for hours to play a game. He finally bought me a computer so I could try it, and 10 years later I'm building my own computers and addicted to my Xbox 360! And Star Wars Galaxies is awesome! Try it, you might like it...

why wouldn't he let you play his characters? is he cheating on you with one of them or something? lol,cmon is only a game!! my girl is more important than any game,if my girl ask me to use any of my characters I would say sure, that way she"ll get familiar with the controls and feel of the game,plus if you dont want to play the game, you dont have to.tell him to let you try it first,and if you like it, then play it yourself.
