Have you even seen a slide show where the photos and/or graphics and text zoom in and out of the picture or fade and appear? Or maybe they "windowshade" from one thing to another? PowerPoint lets you create these presentations and slide shows. You can add photos, graphs, graphics, sound, etc. using the tools available in PowerPoint so your finished product is interesting rather than just a dull, picture-after-picture slide show.

Powerpoint is Microsoft's version of creating a visual presentation for your job, school, or even personal use. You can add text to the presentation, with pictures and/or videos. To make it more interesting or exciting, you can add special effects or animation, so that people will not be bored when you present it.

Power Point is good if you want to make a classy presentation. You can create a presentation slide by slide, making the words appear on the screen in different times and ways it shows on the screen. It is a nice tool for presentations. You can add photo's, documents etc, that may support your presentation. But basically that is pretty much all it is used for.

power point is used to make presentations to explain things to other people, they are usually displayed on projectors to large roups of people whilst the speaker is talking
