I have been ttc for 2 years now with no success. My gyno told me to have a D n C where he goes through my belly button and cleans everything out. He said nothing appears to be wrong on the outside. So, should I just keep ttc or have the procedure. I am so confused on what to do..............any advice??

It is recommended that after trying to conceive for a year without success, that you see a fertility specialist. You and your partner should both get tested.

Check you diet....or maybe the guy that you are trying with needs an exam. Not to assume anything, but if you have ever had an std that could have caused scar tissue to make it more difficult for you to conceive. I was preg. once and miscarried--I had a dnc to clean everything out. Well, my bf and I have had unprotected sex for 2 years and nothing. that could be due to a few things, maybe the dnc doesn't increase your chances, or maybe my guy needs a little check up. (I have never had an std and was recently check with none, so that isn't a reason) Either way if he gets they OK then it might just be a diet thing for both of you.

If you have been trying for two years and nothings happened I would try the procedure and is if something is wrong inside and get it corrected. I got pregnant not even a month after every laproscopy sugery to check to make sure everything was okay.

if the doctor automatically told you to have a D&C, i would try another doctor. Also, it may not be you....me and my husband tried for about a year and he had a very, very low sperm count and we were told that it would be impossible for us to have a baby...we stopped trying so hard and just enjoyed each others company and before we knew it, we were expecting...sometimes the pressure of trying so hard and then coming up negative throws your body in stress and that can have an affect on conceiving...also, if it's meant to happen, it will....good luck

A D&C is done throught the vagina, but if you want to get pregnant, you should definitely do it! It can show any blockages, cysts, etc in your reproductive system. Many people get pregnant on the cycle after these procedures due to removing blockages, etc. Good luck!

The procedure doesn't involve going through your belly button - it'll be done through your vagina.
It's up to you whether you want it done, but if it's been suggested that this might help and you really want children, I'd do it.

HAVE THE PROCEDURE THIS MAY BE THE REASON YOU ARE NOT GETTING PREGGERS.

WHEN THEY DO A D AND C IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS A BUILD UP IN THE LINING OF THE UTERUS AND OTHER REASONS BUT THIS COULD MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR AND EGG TO IMPLANT IN YOUR UTERUS AND THUS NO PREGNANCY. THIS IS THE REASON I SAY HAVE IT DONE AND THEM HEAL AND TRY AGAIN.

Maybe you should get a second opinion from another doctor.
