Its always been rude to leave a hat on inside...if you do not believe me, join the army.

Gangs - Use colors to ID with each other

Hats hide contraband, including possible weapons and drugs

Headbands hide a multitude of ear plugged devices such as cell phones, ipods, etc.

They provide a means of concealing things and if shared can cause a lice epidemic.

Yes, at least while in class. IMO it would be a sign of disrespect.
