One of my best friends just gave birth to a baby girl. I want to buy some layettes and other stuff. I just want to know where is the best place to shop online for babies. I want to spend a desent amount! Thank you in advance!

Baby Gap has the cutest gift baskets for newborns.
I love The Children's Place.
Gymboree has cute things too.
Try to get bigger sizes as babies grow very fast and people tend to buy in the 0-3 month sizes. They grow out of them with in a month.

I found really cute stuff on eBay. One thing I got when I had my baby that I LOVE SO MUCH was designer burp cloths. You can find them on eBay by searching "designer burp cloths" or in a baby boutique. I know it sounds like a funny gift but it is the thing ALL MOMS use the most and the cute/pretty/elegant ones make mom feel better! Check them out on eBay and see what you think!

The best place to shop for babies online is probably going to be web
sites from China or Russia. If you wait until the end of the year, you probably can purchase year end models for DEEP discounts.

Definately if you want to save money wal-mart or kmart is your best bet!! but if you want to spend a little more then: target, babies-r-us and burlington's baby depot would be the next step..and these stores have things that most moms would love to have for their child.

diapers are good.. buy a size up as she probablly has lots of newborn... but I would throw in some newborn ones too... blankets are good, she probably has all sorts, but the receiving blankets are great for lots of stuff including for burping the baby... plastic coated spoons with sippy cups and bowls... tetthing toys and rattles... play mat or blanket... soothers (they get lost like crazy)... socks, slippers, hats, sleepers, cute 'going out' outfits, body wash and shampoo (Johnson's).... diaper rash cream, picture frame (a cute baby one), cute shoes or boots, baby wipe warmer, etc

Best place to buy for someone who is having a baby is Potterybarn.
They have it all, clothes, furniture, etc..
I love their stuff.
