My period was due on the 8th and it is now the 11th, and it usually comes on time........I took a hpt yesterday but it was kinda a cheap one and it cam out negative, Im on antibiotics, for tonsilitis, and I believe im pregnant but Im thinking maby my medicine is making the test wrong.

Antibiotics wouldn't have any effect on a home pregnancy test. If your period is still late in a few days, take another test. I got 2 negative tests before getting a positive. Hope you get the results that you want!

Because of the illness your period may also be just a little off for right now. I used to have periods down to a specific day but some things do affect your period.

No but if you are on the pill while taking antibiotics...the pill wont have an effect . Go to your doctor for a pregnancy test.

The stress of a cold can even cause your period to be a few days late, I would wait a few more day and still if no show of the monthly i would retest. if it comes out negitive and still no period i would consult with my gyno Good luck
