Why do gays respect women, but lesbians hate men?

Do all lesbians raise both boys and girls to believe that men are unnecessary? Or is it just the celebrities?

Testy bunch, aren't you? I was just trying to get a healthy discussion going (and succeeded, apparently).

I do know all generalities are false, including this one.

Your "question" is bigoted on so many levels, it's hard to know where to start.

All {blank} do not do anything. This is a generalization and a perfect example of prejudice.

Lesbian parents raise their children to be open-minded, loving people. Such people do not hate anyone.

What do celebrities have to do with this question?

In fact, do you have any evidence or statistics to back up any of your wild accusations here? Or are your "facts" just as fabricated as your "logic" ?

Actually, this is a huge myth. Lesbians don't hate men, they're just not attracted to them. They want to have relationships with women because that's who they like - it's not that they have relationships with women because they hate men. They don't think men are unnecessary, they just don't want to have a relationship with a man because it's not who they're attracted to.

Many lesbians have male friends and family members that they love and respect very much, who play large roles in their lives. They just aren't their partners or lovers. It's not celebrities or other people who think this - in fact, a very small majority of women (as a whole, so straight and gay) that might hate men, which could stem from any number of issues (rape, abuse, etc). And that's a very small, small number of people.

The same goes for gays respecting women - some do, some don't. But it's not automatic.

Hate is a good note. speaking from journey, i will say this. often in a public putting alongside with a bar or party, lesbians and immediately adult males can butt heads. And no, its not continually over a lady. for example, i'm aggressive with information from nature. Many immediately females are too, yet alongside with this competition there almost continually some flirting in touch. not with lesbians. i'm in it to win, the end. adult males commonly do not comprehend my social cues, because they don't look that of a immediately lady's, nor that of a guy's. I, likewise, do not comprehend why adult males act the way they do, and this causes social discomforts. So briefly, i do not hate adult males, I basically commonly do not spend as a lot time with them as I do with females, because i do not comprehend them contained in the most known sense.

Many lesbians don't hate men they just don't need them. And as far "appendages" are concerned you can buy one in any shape size and color you want.

But if a woman is going to have a child I think the father should be involved unless he has given up his parental rights.

Um...NO. duh. Men and women both are vitally important to our children. Chosing to raise a child without a "primary father figure" does not imply that women think that men are unnecessary or worse, less than women (though I have met some separatists who would rather live without men at all - personally, I feel sure let 'em go! I don't want those people affecting my kids.) Life is about balance. Not all lesbians (or even most) raise their children in that unhealthy, unreal environment.

I have never hated men, I adore men...I just have no desire whatsoever to sleep with them at this point!

Maybe it's because so many men are so retarded that they simply can't accept that any woman would not have even the slightest shread of interest in sleeping with them that they horn-dog around thinking "girl on girl action is hot" when in all reality it's not just one average woman rejecting them...but TWO women who have absolutely NO interest in him...but he's too thick to figure that out!

Maybe it's because the majority of rapes are by men against women!
Maybe it's because in many countries women are still seen as objects even property!
Maybe it's because in many countries they still remove the outside parts of female sexual organs thinking that it will keep women from being sexually promiscuous, without regard to the female's health in general!
Maybe because in several countries in Africa they still believe that if a man infected with HIV has sex with a virgin it will cure him...and so the number of rapes against female CHILDREN has risen 100 fold in less that five years!

but i'm just guessing that might be part of it.

I don't hate men, I love men. My best friend is a straight man. I just don't want to sleep with men, or marry one.

I have many, many lesbian friends, and none of them hate men.

Why would you continue to promote such an outdated and erroneous stereotype?

I think straigh men and gay women that don't know each other are just a bit unsure about each other where as gay men and straight women are alot more open and get along easier.

I've known both gays and lesbians, but never got any bad vibes off of either of them.
