I had one installed in 1999, it leaked 2 months after. That was fixed(must not have been). Leaked (again) in 2004 and now (again) the last day of 2006. Anyone else had this problem?

Roof has leaked basically in the same place four times in seven years. Now they are telling me my warranty has run out. The pitch of the roof is a single dwelling with nothing on top but a fireplace and vent poles. But leak is away from that. Ridgecaps were not put on right the first time.

your problem isn't with the shingles, it's with the installer. whoever did your roof didn't do it right. it sounds as if he never found the leak. or are you getting these leaks in different places? i would call another roofer and have him try to fix it. hopefully your shingle color is still being made so it will kind of match. if you have dormers on the roof or valleys it is most likely where the leaks are occurring. the side of the dormer, or entire valley may need to be redone. good luck.

I had Shingles for the first time a few weeks ago. I am normally in good health and haven't had any other health challenges before, so it came as a surprise.

Shingles is probably the most painful thing I have ever encountered. I went to the doctor, and he gave me some prescription drugs to take that was suposed to help, but didn't.

My wife found the Fast Shingles Cure ebook online and bought it for me, I am very lucky to have such a wonderful woman in my life. We followed the book, did what it said, and it delivered what it promised. Finally my Shingles rash is over... I feel truly blessed and thankful.

It sounds like your shingles were not installed correctly if it leaked 2 months after they were installed. Most shingles have a 20-30 yr rating. They generally last about 10-15 years with no harsh weather (hail or high winds).

it depends on the pitch (slope) and what sort of shingles you used.
should last about 20 years, but if you live in a coastal area maybe not quite that long. if its leaking now, it isn't because the shingles are worn out- there is a problem somewhere where water is getting in- in a roof valley or around a penetration through the roof, or the pitch of the roof isn't enough to allow adequate runoff.
hail damage, or wind damage could have occurred to your roof which could be claimed through your insurance company. hail damage can result in premature aging to a shingle roof.
