Go to a department store!

Just go to a Clinique counter at the mall. While they want you to buy the products, you don't HAVE to. That's where I learned hwo to apply makeup. Or try an Avon or Mary Kay specialist.

Yes, go to a department store cosmetic counter, but be careful of the counter you choose to go to. Not all cosmetic counter sales people are qualified make up artists. Sure bets are to go to either a MAC Cosmetics or Bobbi Brown counter. Their sales people are all trained in the use and application of their products.

You should go to a store like Macy's and learn how to apply makeup at one of the counters. (say, "Clinique" or "Lacoste") those people are really helpful! they WILL try to sell you tons of products, but i think it's worth the shot!

I don't know about websites, but most make-up counters will give you a free demonstration and show you how to apply stuff, I know Sephora and MAC do it... give that a try.

This website is amazing:
http://www.wikihow.com/Apply-Makeup

And it has really good links to it which go into more depth about eyeliner etc..

But the best thing to do is to experiment, experiment and experiment... That way you can see what suits you.

Good luck!
