If James Bond is the ultimate Elglish heroe, Why have the best movie Bonds been Irishmen? (Connery and Brosman)

My mistake, Connery is a Scot.

Well look out because a lot of people think Danirl Craig is an excellent Bond because he nailed the literary Bond's personality perfectly.
Remember in the books and films Bond is Scottish his father was a Scotsman and his mom a citizen of Switzerland.

Simply put, Connery and Brosnan were the best candidates for the part at the time.
Unfortunately we got stuck with Daniel Craig who's nothing but the Bourne Identity in a fancy suit.

The best Bond was the Welsh-born Timothy Dalton, whom best fit Fleming's role as the super spy. He wasn't a "wimp" like Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan, nor was an ugly Scot like Sean Connery.

In the context of the James Bond universe we must use "suspension of disbelief" to accept Connery and Brosnan as Englishman instead of Irish.

Connery was Scottish, and while both Connery and Brosnan are good Bonds, I wouldn't rate them as best (Daniel Craig ftw :D)

Thats a matter of opinion. Roger Moore actually played the role the best altough a bit campy. When he was serious he was a great Bond and had the perfect look for it. He definetly was English. Brosnan? are you high?
