You can not collect SSI while in Jail, or the hospital. You can collect SSD while in the hospital, and you can collect SSD while in jail, but NOT in prison.

Depends upon whether you are convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. If you are convicted of a felony, then they will take your benefits.

they are stopped until your out...just read it yesterday in papers SS sent me....any benefits being paid to family are not stopped..
